Independent analytics & tracking consultant.
Almost a decade into a career that started with a digital marketing apprenticeship and quietly turned into something more technical, I now work with agencies, in-house marketing teams and ambitious brands across the UK and beyond.

What I do.
I set up, audit and fix analytics and tracking setups across GA4, GTM, Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Microsoft and Bing UET, LinkedIn and Adobe Analytics. Server-side where it makes sense, consent-compliant always, properly documented as standard.
The full description lives on the Services pages - this one is about me, how I got here and how I work.
How I got here.
I started in 2016 on a digital marketing apprenticeship - mostly Google Ads, a bit of SEO, learning the trade in the way you do when you’re early in your career: by being given things you don’t quite know how to do yet and figuring them out.
Over the years, the work quietly evolved. I kept being the person picking up the tracking when campaigns weren’t reporting properly, sorting the GA4 setups nobody else wanted to touch, writing the custom JavaScript that fixed broken conversion data. The analytics and data side eventually became the work, not a sideline to it.
Going independent wasn’t a clean break either. I’ve worked inside agencies and alongside brand teams, and what I noticed was that I get the most done, and enjoy it most, sitting alongside small teams of specialists, rather than inside the day-to-day of any single in-house function. So I built the working setup that suited that.
Today, I work as a white-label consultant for three or four agency partners (analytics is the bit they don’t have internally, so I become the bit they don’t have internally), plus a smaller number of direct relationships with in-house teams and DTC brands. It’s a setup that lets me work on a wider range of problems than I’d ever see at a single company, and that mix is what keeps the work interesting.
Who I work with.
Across the agency partnerships I sit behind, plus my own direct relationships, I’ve worked with brands in:
Legal and chambers
Healthcare — including a multi-country Adobe Analytics audit across the DACH region
Ecommerce and DTC
Fintech and trading platforms
Training providers
Professional services
B2C and consumer platforms
If you’re an agency who needs a tracking specialist to plug into client work, I’d love to be in your toolkit. If you’re an in-house team or a brand with a complicated tracking problem, equally happy to talk.
How I work.
I’m based in the Lincolnshire Wolds and work remotely with clients across the UK and further afield. Async-first by default, Slack, email, shared docs, with calls scheduled when something genuinely needs working through in real time, not just to fill the calendar.
The work is technical, but the output isn’t supposed to be. If I can’t explain what I’ve done to a non-technical stakeholder, I haven’t finished the job. Clear scopes, clear documentation, no black boxes, and I don’t disappear once handover is signed off.
